Our ShoulderZ™ are constructed of top quality 6 oz. 4-Way Stretch
Lycra®/Spandex. The SmoothEZ™ ShoulderZ™ is held in place with a 2 inch
wide elastic girth strap that connects with a Side Release Heavy Duty ABS
Buckle. The Buckle is sewn in place so you never have to search for your
buckle again. We use a extra wide 1 ½ inch elastic band around the neckline
to assist in keeping the shoulder guard from pulling or rolling down and
reinforcing the neckline so it will not stretch out within a day or two.
This elastic band is serged into the shoulder guard with 4 threads making it
a very strong connection between your fabric and the elastic, we then form a
sleeve through which the elastic is passed so that it does not come into
direct contact with the horses coat eliminating any chance of the horse
developing an irritation or annoyance to the elastic. The use of this wide
elastic band also eliminates any need for any type of Velcro adjustment that
can not only be annoying to deal with but can also be a safety hazard to
your horse. Our ShoulderZ™ are come in either the standard neckline or with
an extended neck line to allow for protection from all different brands of
blankets, but not so extended that they can easily pull down or roll down
with the movement of the horse this also eliminates any chance of our
neckline sitting directly on the withers which results in mane hairs being
rubbed out. The ShoulderZ™ also come with a double reinforced front yoke
that passes between the front legs and connects into the 2 inch wide elastic
girth. The front yoke keeps the front of the shoulder guard from riding up
into the chest of the horse. Additionally we always contour the shoulders
of our guards for freedom of movement of the horse. Un-contoured shoulders
can also easily become a source of annoyance and irritation for the horse
and then can result in a chew toy for you animal. The SmoothEZ™ ShoulderZ™
is an ideal choice for your horses that need to wear blankets and have had
problems with blanket rubbing. All of our products are Made in the USA with

Benefits
Are the eyes and ear openings of your current hood or full body sheet a
source of irritation for you and your horse? All of our eye and ear
openings are serged with four stitches first then folded under and top
stitched with 50 weight polyester thread at 20+ stitches per inch, this
gives you a quality finish, allows the fabric to lay flat and still
affords you the maximum stretch to your product!
this also ensures that your products will not unravel and give that used
and abused look.
Our faces are made with extra length to prevent “riding up” on the face
and come complete with a Velcro® strap as well as stitched in elastic on
the noseband for a custom designed tailored fit that also gives you an
additional adjustment for the stretch of the fabric, if needed.
Generously-sized" eye and ear openings are "well-placed" to prevent a
source of irritation that can occur in some hoods and full body sheets.
We have added more fabric to the shoulder and chest to allow for full
coverage in all of our products this avoids any pulling or chafing with
the movement of the horse that can result in other competitor items.
Because
all of our products are custom designed we ensure that the overall
length of all our products allow for the movement of the horse and will
not pull through the shoulders which is an area that can cause chafing.
We also provide a tapered butt with a butt flap to cover the full butt
of the horse protecting the tail dock.
All
seams are 4-thread serged with 50 weight polyester thread, so each
and every seam throughout the entire hood is stitched with at least FOUR
threads creating a very strong yet stretchy seam. Then ALL of our
seams are folded under and stitched with a low profile stretch of 20+
stitches per inch to keep the seams down and avoid leaving seams lines
that can distract from your horses appearance in the Show Ring.
Serging and finish stitching also means that you receive a product that
is completed with professionally finished edges all around.
Because a "safe and comfortable horse is a happy horse"™,
we install a wide
Lycra® or elastic Girth Straps/bellyband. Our experience is, that the
thin elastic bands just do not wear as comfortably for the horse that
has to wear this 24/7. So we do not use the thin elastic on any of
our products. We believe in allowing the elasticity of the fabric
to hold the product in place which is more comfortable to your horse.
Keeps
your horse's coat clean and free of dirt particles during shows.
Just remove the HoodZ™ minutes before entering the show ring and run a
light brush over the coat and you will be ready for the winners circle.

the benefit of friction to keep the natural oils on the coat and not on
